Did they change part of the spoiler then? Just wondering why you would be so happy after they glued it is all i thought they did?

Why wouldn't I be happy, if the recall hadn't happened I would have have to buy another spoiler as I couldn't determine what or where to glue.

When I took a look inside the spoiler there were no obvious points that had separated, just a void.

They might have inserted something inside to attach the top and bottom halves, I don't know, but as I said, when I looked there was no immediately obvious remedy.

If this factory designed repair fails, they would be responsible for replacing the whole thing at no cost to me, so yes, I am happy.

Sounds good mate, its just the inconvenience of travelling there waiting etc.. but now they dont have to pay out if they offer fix and you dont take it up

Mine was done by the brand new "flagship" dealership in Sunbury on Thames, all seemed well at first, they had the car all day, re-glued the spoiler, washed it and gave it a clean bill of health Very Happy

2 days later the spoiler came apart and started to rub on the rear roof line when you opened the tailgate causing it to chip the paint Censored

it's now one month to the day, just got the car back this afternoon, they are going to need to book it in again because its going to need a new spoiler and then to be painted, they washed it and advised that it needed front pads as they are at a dangerous level ( it's done less than 250 miles since ) they informed me that it had 4mm when it was in last and now it's got 2mm, bearing in mind we were told it had a clean bill of health !

now I'm not worried about the brakes, I have new ones turning up tomorrow, it was more the way we were treated, all was fine up until we reported that their recall repair had failed and caused damage that their attitude changed, and as for not informing us that the brakes were low, well words fail me ! had they not offered a free health check in the first place I wouldn't be so annoyed as I wouldn't have expected any warning, not what I'd expect from a so called prestige company !

Just got mine fixed, total spoiler inc camera etc.

Dealers did a great job but took them over a week.

The recall didn't fix the issue

Anybody else have their Spoiler rebonded as part of the recall and subsequently have it fly off the car at speed?

Mine did a couple of years after being told it was all done.

Are JLR still replacing for free anyone know?

I have heard some people are still having their initial recall dealt with now so I assume they must have spares knocking about.
