Maybe the "20miles remaining" isn't correct,, as you say the gauge is showing a little high for the low level to illuminate, mine drops right into the bottom quarter before the warning comes up. 2010 RRS, TDV8

I very rarely run the tank down to low level so could only give pictures of half full and more. The other ting the trip computer takes into account is the MPG which is why the readings will differ depending on whether you are getting 18MPG or 28MPG. The low level will always come on at the same point on the gauge,, which is quite low,, the stated miles remaining will be based on your current mpg. 2010 RRS, TDV8

That's what I said,,, the low fuel will come on at the same point on the gauge,,, 12 litres of fuel in an 84ltr tank is not very much so expect the light to come on way down the scale. The computer will estimate how many miles are left using your current mpg. Many a time I have filled the tank and the display said I had 285 miles available,,, after a 300 mile round trip averaging 26mpg,,, filling it again would show 320 miles available. The low level is fixed in stone and is "x" amount of fuel,,,,, the mileage remaining fluctuates with your driving style and changes constantly. I think you are worrying about something that doesn't exist. 2010 RRS, TDV8
