Rear wiper blade change

Anyone got any tips how to change the rear wiper blade on my 2009 FFRRS. The blade doesn't lift very far from the glass, it's under the sprung arm and without taking the whole thing off the spindle (is that even a good idea?) I can't see how to do it, or am I being g a bit thick???? If a man speaks in the forest and there's no woman to hear, is he still wrong?

The end of the arm has a "U" shaped hook that the blade fits onto. To remove it you don't have to lift it too far off the screen (from memory there is a small tang on the blade that you have to press in/flick out; not sure which) and pull the blade back towards the spindle. The arms do benefit from a little lubrication at the hinge close to the spindle to keep them free.
I initially bought the Bosch blade from Halfords, which they say is the correct one, but it stands a bit higher than the one I took off (Trico?) and fouled the underside of the spoiler when it swept. I took it back and fitted a generic Halfords blade which fits fine.

Just change the whole arm and blade for a newer modern plastic one, Can get a arm and blade from ebay for less than £15 and it looks alot better and more modern that the agricultural metal one. they actually have a better spring too so a better wipe, and much lighter, every gram on this beast counts lol.

dunno if this works but ..... if desperate.

turn the rear wiper on and goto the rear of the car.

As soon at the wiper moves, open the top tailgate. The wiper may stop half way ?

I don't think it matters where the wiper is. I think maybe changing the whole thing is going to be easier, trued everything, can't get the bloody thing off! If a man speaks in the forest and there's no woman to hear, is he still wrong?

Hi I had problems with mine I ended up using a small puller tool on the arm to remove it all together and then replaced the blade.

I just replaced mine too actually - it's a bit fiddly but you can just press the tab down and slide it out when it plays ball.

I had more issues with the wiper blade itself as opposed to taking it out. The replacement Bosch wiper actually made the arm sit too high and brush the spoiler, so I ended up just getting a 16 inch replacement Bosch aero wiper to match the fronts. I think it was AR16U or something. Works absolutely fine.
