Side steps with overfinch kit

Hi great people

So I’m totally new to ownership

Just baught a 2010 RRS overfinch. Noticed it hasn’t got side steps on. When I questioned the retailer he said you can’t fit them cos of the overfinch kit, yet I’ve googled images and have seen others fitted

Can anyone correct me on this

If you have the full O/F kit with the door lower panel trims then you can not fit sidesteps unless someone has specially adapted the sidesteps in some way, because the o/f lower trims extend down past the bottom edge of the door where the step would be. Top picture shows O/F door panels fitted. Lower picture my own car with O/F bumpers but without the lower door panels fitted as needed sidesteps for her indoors, you can see the difference in depth.
