Carpet or Rubber mats?

I usually go for carpet but the RRS rubber mats look a step above the usual.
Anyone gone for rubber and wished they'd chosen carpet or vice versa? MY08 RR Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black; Black Leather; Privacy glass

Absolutely Envoy! The choice is entirely dependent on your circumstances and use: anything work-oriented or messy, get rubber. If it's a pampered luxury car, get carpet. I changed rubber for carpet, but the rubber actually looks ok! Thumbs Up MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

I have just swapped my Rubber ones for Carpet and it gives a better feel to the Car. Keeping the Rubber ones for when it gets muddy

Unlike a lot of mfrs, the LR rubber mats are actually pretty solid. Nice little metal corners too. All very stylish. And you can buy the upgraded SC little metal corners on eBay, which a lot of people do.

And whilst we are on the "protection" thread - what about seat covers?

I have some Halfrauds nylon ones from my Discovery that fit the front seats ok (I know - they will affect the airbags)

What have people done for the back?

Based on my Discovery experience the main problem is mud on the plastic seat base surrounds, kick panel under the rear seat squab and the door bottoms. Is there a solution for this or at least an effective way of cleaning them (The mud gets in the plastic "grain" and I could never really get rid of it) 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

I would advise you to get both a rubber and carpet set of mats. Use the carpet in the summer and the rubber set in the winter or when you go off roading. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Censored eBay. I bought a sey of rubber mats at a great price. (I got carpet when I purchased from the dealer.) The mats are brand new.

The trouble is they are part # EAH000271PMA (Range Rover) and not EAH5000051PMA (Range Rover Sport).

Censored Big Cry Evil or Very Mad Censored

Any ideas?
