I usually go for carpet but the RRS rubber mats look a step above the usual.

Absolutely Envoy! The choice is entirely dependent on your circumstances and use: anything work-oriented or messy, get rubber. If it's a pampered luxury car, get carpet. I changed rubber for carpet, but the rubber actually looks ok! MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs |

carpet smells better, plus rubber ruins the heel on expensive shoes Something else is always something better:

Unlike a lot of mfrs, the LR rubber mats are actually pretty solid. Nice little metal corners too. All very stylish. And you can buy the upgraded SC little metal corners on eBay, which a lot of people do.

I would advise you to get both a rubber and carpet set of mats. Use the carpet in the summer and the rubber set in the winter or when you go off roading. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

eBay. I bought a sey of rubber mats at a great price. (I got carpet when I purchased from the dealer.) The mats are brand new.
