Mirror Folding in too far

Hi All,

I have done a fairly extensive search here and on other forums, but so far didn't find anything to solve my issue.

The wing mirror upon folding in, hits the window and creaks a bit at the last step.

Anyone know if if can be "re calibrated"? or manually pushed out a bit?
I'm concerned its going to damage the mechanism if I keep letting it do that...

Anyone had this issue before?

Cheers,
Adam

Have you tried pulling it back to its " normal " position. I'm sure there is an amount of free play in the mechanism to allow movement in the event the mirror is accidentally hit,, saving it from being broken off otherwise. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Thanks for the suggestion.

Yea I tried pulling it out a bit. But the thing is; it has a mechanism built in to allow for some movement if it gets knocked.
If I push the mirror outwards it goes, but the first thing that happens I fold the mirrors in is they click back to the original position.

Basically the only option I am left with is to gently go swing on the mirror I guess........
