Replaced drivers door with a new actuator RRS 2006 HSE, new lock working fine, but after a few mins the drivers door open comes up on the dash, even though the door has remained closed.

Had the same problem with the old actuator but the the lock was not reliable.
Has anyone else had this problem ?

After another attempt had a look at the door striker seems moving it slightly has cured the problem its very tricky to find the spot where the door open warning stops.

The new actuator was bought on ebay new with a so called 5yr warranty I suspect the unit is a cheap bit of rubbish as it only cost £26. Moving the striker does not let the door close tightly enough. the internal micro switch must be at fault.

Perhaps I should ask the seller to send another one, but suspect they are all the same, wish I had bought a genuine one now
if it gives bother will change it anyway.
