Tailgate contact areas

I had contact patches on the lower tailgate from the upper when I got my sport and I couldn’t work out why, there was plenty of gap between the two. Well I touched them up but I’ve started getting two more new contact patches.







I’ve adjusted the rubber stops out as far as I can and the tailgate is now sitting a bit proud.

Any ideas what’s going on? Is it contacting whilst driving or just when it’s opened and closed? Steve
