So upon inserting fully charged battery into car, the usual ‘It’s cold’ warning lights came on. My beast doesn't respond well to temperatures below 3 degrees.
1.Special Programmes not available
2. EPB not functioning correctly
And a new one
3. Engine Fault.
As usual I ignored them as the car fired up straight away, even at -1, and off I went. Pulled out into the A road and accelerated,,,,,,, and not a lot happened. I got to 60 eventually. No smoke - no bangs. So whilst looking at the rear propshaft bearing that was knackered my ‘tame’ mechanic (my son) had a look at the Turbo actuators on both turbos. Expecting the fault to be the front passenger one; ie B, we started there. Turns out it moved freely, but the drivers side one was seized? A liberal dose of silicon freed it and now working as they should.
Any ideas why actuator B was found by the IID, when it was actuator A at fault? Previously owned 1999 Disco 2 TD5
Disco 3 HSE TDV6 2007
Gone 2007 TDV8 RRS1 in Buckingham Blue.
How do know if the knocking at the front has been sorted?
You can hear the knocking at the rear better
