I have charged mine on a ctek many many times with the terminals under the bonnet. Many here have.
- including a month of trickle charge during a lockdown.

What’s the concern? 2022 P440e AB

I used a normal battery charger, connecting to the points under the bonnet when the dash warning "low battery" came up.It was sorted no problem.

If you don't use it much, get a Ctek. You can leave it on as long as you want. It is not like the old fashioned chargers it keeps your battery at optimum charge. My F type is hooked up for abut 6 months at a time. Starts first time. Yes, use the under bonnet connectors.

Connectors under the bonnet are fine to use. Kev

Ctek do what they call comfort connectors for their chargers that permanently fit on the battery terminals, all you need to do is lift the bonnet and clip in the charger lead. More convenient than comfort. I've seen a thread whereby owners have routed the end of the connector out of the side grille or front grille so you don't even have to lift the bonnet.

Admittedly a RRS1 but here's my Ctek connector, don't have to bend down, unlock the car or flip the bonnet to connect or disconnect, don't have to bother removing tow bar cover either.

Cheers

I use the tow electrics connector. As the cover is never on, it's easy to fit the connector. Not that it gets charged very often as mine is used most days and for decent distances so it's usually got full charge in it. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Or if you were feeling adventurous, you could hook up a more permanent solution like I did in my L320...
