Sunroof drains blocked likely culprit, or if no roof;

If you do have a sunroof I think I might start here, drivers footwell the black pipe is the drain tube from the sunroof, good point for a blockage right on a bend.

no i do not have a sunroof and it is not an air con drain but overnight after a lot of rain the drivers foot well is now a lake and therefore it must be entering via the heater air intake beneath the wipers.

I did find a way to look where the under windshield water escapes and the scutle panel was quite easy to remove ,remove the wiper arms and the panel is held in by plastic clips that you can lever up from the bottom edge of the windscreen.As i found out later the water ingress was from the A post trim which just levers of as it is held in by clips and water enters the A post via the clip holes when the washers are old and do not do their job any more.All these jobs and how to do them can be found on U.Tube or you can Google to find the answers

Link to original 2005 TSB if of any interest to any one, probably find all the part numbers have changed by now though, not sure if there is a later issue.
