Water Leaks

My 2013 rr sport has developed a leak in the drivers footwell where your heels sit and the carpet is soaking wet and was only discovered when cleaning said mat.I have not noticed any leaks coming from above and have not been wading ! Has anyone else had this and is there a cause or remedy?.

Does it have a sunroof?

Sunroof drains blocked likely culprit, or if no roof;

assuming its relevant to the RRS, or;

If you do have a sunroof I think I might start here, drivers footwell the black pipe is the drain tube from the sunroof, good point for a blockage right on a bend.

no i do not have a sunroof and it is not an air con drain but overnight after a lot of rain the drivers foot well is now a lake and therefore it must be entering via the heater air intake beneath the wipers.
I have looked into it but cannot see anything but there must be somehow for water to escape but have no idea how.
This panel looks very difficult to remove.

I did find a way to look where the under windshield water escapes and the scutle panel was quite easy to remove ,remove the wiper arms and the panel is held in by plastic clips that you can lever up from the bottom edge of the windscreen.As i found out later the water ingress was from the A post trim which just levers of as it is held in by clips and water enters the A post via the clip holes when the washers are old and do not do their job any more.All these jobs and how to do them can be found on U.Tube or you can Google to find the answers
There is a repair kit from L R>DHB 500430 @ £14.81 and also there is a L R TSB on the repair as well.

Link to original 2005 TSB if of any interest to any one, probably find all the part numbers have changed by now though, not sure if there is a later issue.

I had a similar problem except on the passenger side.

As said above you can buy a kit to repair, however I fixed mine with a cut section of rubber and suitable glue.
