United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Limp home mode!

My 2007 2.7 TDV6 has a tendency to loose power every now and then. No real pattern but very unnerving! The restricted message pops up and i have to pull over and switch ignition off then on again and all is well until the next time. I had the codes read and i think it was P0117E, fuel pressure fault?
Does this mean my high pressure fuel pump is goosed? is it hard to change, expensive etc?
Any recommendations?
Many thanks in advance,

Gary.

P0117 is engine coolant temperature.

Who read the codes for you? Did they use a generic reader or one specific to Land Rover? Many of the generic ones don't bring up sufficient information from all of the various ECUs. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Apologies, it was P117E - Fuel volume regulator control exceeded minimum controllimit.

If I recall correctly from when I had my 05 2.7tdv6 Disco 3...the high pressure fuel pump is at the back of the engine. Requires removal of auxiliary belt.and associated pipe/s unbolt the old and bolt on the new one, reconnect pipe/s and aux belt.

The labour was reasonable..at around £120 or so..( I am talking almost 8 years ago)...but the high pressure fuel pump was expensive at just over £800...though again that was in 2012.

Mine had to be replaced due to leak.

Hope u get it sorted.
