United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver
SVR Worth the premium

Hi all,

Sold my 2006 tdv6 sport a couple of days ago. Missing it more than I expected.
Anyway I’m after a newer model.
I’ve not decided on engine yet, definitely not a SDV6. So either sdv8, v8 S/c or SVR.

Are the SVR’s worth the premium over a normal S/C?

Are the sdv8 reasonable on diesel?

I’m thinking SVR will hold it it’s money better, than V8 S/C

£55k max budget, would appreciate any opinions.

If you do go SVR I know of someone that is about to sell his one (last of the pre-facelift) for 55k, only has 19k on the clock and he's had it from new. Its blue with black leather..... I bumped into him a couple of weeks ago so he may have already sold it but can check if you're interested.

Ran a 5.0sc 494 for three years... swapped it out for an SVR a few months ago...it’s awesome !
Far better than the old one...do it!

I own an P525 and next time i will go for the SVR. The P525 road balance is not matching to the great engine, so go straight to the SVR, you cant fail.

I was under my SVR this afternoon during its MOT...the additional works to the braking system alone is exquisite...
Unseen to others are the carbon fibre air ducts on both side of the hub both fore and aft which pull cooling air from underneath the car into the rear side of the discs...they are a work of art!
My 5.0 S which I thought was the same car but with less fancy skirts had nothing like these on the underside...

I have just jumped out of my RRS into a F-Pace SVR and "Wow" I know the two cars are different but that engine never gets boring whatever car it's shoved into!!
