I have had to have the lower tailgate repainted after I damaged it while getting some edge beading down from the garage roof and putting a deep scratch down the tailgate
Now I don't know whether to put new badges back on or leave it without, what do you think? I quite like it without but I also like it with them.

Its only an opinion, but I think that vehicles where badges are removed is because the model is the lowest spec in the range and the owner doesn't want to advertise the fact.
Probably a legacy from my younger days, seemed to be quite common then on early BMW 3 series. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014

Slowly edging towards putting new badges on as they are sat there in garage waiting to go on. I can see the point about removing them on base spec cars but I don't think any sport can be classed as base spec given what we pay for them.

De-Badging is in Germany and Switzerland common for high end vehicles, as a lot of people like the clean aesthetics without numbers and model names and a lot of people like also the undrstatment.

Whilst nobody assumes here, if de-badged lower spec cars are around, they doing it avoiding to be known as an entry level owner. It´s not that important what’s your car´s price for the neighbours.
