Its only an opinion, but I think that vehicles where badges are removed is because the model is the lowest spec in the range and the owner doesn't want to advertise the fact.

Slowly edging towards putting new badges on as they are sat there in garage waiting to go on. I can see the point about removing them on base spec cars but I don't think any sport can be classed as base spec given what we pay for them.

De-Badging is in Germany and Switzerland common for high end vehicles, as a lot of people like the clean aesthetics without numbers and model names and a lot of people like also the undrstatment.
