Have a look at bodsy's brake bible and adjust the EPB. Don't leave it too long or it'll be new module time ££££ (or module rebuild, but a PITA nevertheless). Kev

I totally agree with Kev,,,, get it looked at as soon as or it will cost you dearly. Is there not an indie you can visit and just have the rear brakes cleaned and adjusted,, it's probably an hours work. I normally have mine done at every service as it once cost me £1200 when the rears siezed on,,, new disc's,EPB module, pads and shoes.. 2010 RRS, TDV8

OK - I will have a go at adjustment according to Bodsy's Brake Bible and see how I get on. Bought a 32mm socket & just summoning up the courage... Seems to be relatively straightforward but I'm sure I can muck anything up! |

I don't have any of that and I can't really nip to Halfords to get some! Oh well... |

Alternative is a bit of tape across the EPB switch to prevent it being used until someone who knows what they're doing can do it for it you. |

Problem to that is that I instinctively use it all the time |

Oh and putting the last wheel back on and there's a quiet but gentle hiss of a slow puncture FML |

Doesn't tell me how unfortunately. Is probably something for my specialist and besides, to get into my garage at the moment, I have less than an inch either side, so a bit of a job. |

Just as an update, the fiddling around I did last weekend appears to have worked! Quite a few drives down twisty roads with heavy trailers to heat the brakes up and all quiet as a mouse |

Got the camera set to Australian? ![]() Good job on the brakes! I am sure my EPB has got louder since I've owned the car .. but maybe that's just paranoia! It's not as loud as the one I test drove though, which shat itself as I parked back on the forecourt ![]() |
