Hi all, any help would be muchly appreciated,

L320 TDV8 2008

so as the title suggests, For some time now, The oil warning light and seatbelt warning lights both come on at exactly the same time and also i get a low washer fluid warning.

Oil level is fine and also is the oil pressure (a friend of mine checked it with a scanner) needless to say, so is the washer fluid.
When these started, They went out quite quickly. But now there on for a good while and only go out after an hour or so of driving.

has anybody else had this issue? what did you do to get it fixed?

Did you get this issue sorted? I have exactly the same problem. Just started with Instrument Panel shutting down and restarting as well. But the main issue at the moment is the Oil Warning light coming on and off, coincidently the low washer warning and seat belt warning too (when no-one is on the passenger seat).

@Here - can anyone provide advice on what the issue might be?

Sounds a bit like a dodgy instrument cluster, which is not unheard off something about dry solder joints, sure someone will be along who has had a similar problem and be able to help with a bit more info.

Yeah that's what I am thinking too... but some companies who repair the cluster suggested otherwise as its not normally these 3 things together. I have taken the cluster out and cleaned , checked wires and also checked the obvious earth points and cleaned them but still getting the errors. Think I might just have to order a cluster and see if these resolves the problem. really frustrating

If it shutting down it needs a fix anyway

Dash contains the imboliser code. So you can just fit a replacement without programming.
If getting a use one,
Milage must be Lower than the car. You can only increase. No decrease

Thanks - I got a replacement cluster - (mileage was less incidentally) - had a garage move the data from the old cluster to the new and tried to reprogram using landrover sdd website… it failed when trying to install the software saying it couldn’t communication with the transfer/power train control unit - error A01

he tried for the best of 3 hours and still nothing. He then reverted back to the old cluster and had the same issue - car wouldn’t start… this led our investigations to the TCU behind the battery. We took the tcu off and found some oxidisation in the unit and connectors - we replaced the unit and cleaned the connectors and the car started….. but still getting the oil, seatbelt, low washer faults together - plus I’ve notice it’s more Prevalent with the headlights on (I think in auto lights switch but I am monitoring)

So weird!

I have so far

Replaced the battery
Cleaned all internal ground points on passenger and driver kick plates
Cleaned visible earth points within the engine bay
Replaced the oil sender unit
Bought a used cluster in the hope to reprogram
Changed the TCU
Cleaned the connections to the tcu


Next port of call is to check the earth / ground points behind/above each front wheel on the chassis / wings

Then sending eh cluster off for repair to se if that solves the problem

If anyone else has any ideas - I’d be will to go down that rabbit hole 🤣 -

I am 2 weeks in to my RRS owner experience and I’m loving it - albeit frustrating at times

Ur I think the clue was here

The code is the dash doesn't match the other 2 codes

As to how you fix it now, I don't know.

If that fails, disconnect battery
