I had a space saver when I bought my car and this sits on a polystyrene doughnut to let it sit above the compressor. I have now bought a full size wheel for the spare, should anything be under it apart from the mat to protect the battery

Yes there is 2 different size bottom protectors if you have a spare wheel you’ll need a thinner one. It’s around £48 from LR. 2020 Range Rover Sport SVR 5.0L V8 Supercharged

LR033234 for Full Size Spare and LR033233 for Space Saver I think I have that the right way round. Their descriptions are Insulator Conventional Alloy Spare Wheel and Insulator Mini Aluminium Spare Wheel but that's L/R for you.

So picked up the new insulator today, and the dealer saved me making me a mistake and ordered as the car had been delivered......... luckily saw their mistake before i left.

Trouble is, I’m struggling to see what can fit as I have a full size spare, 275/45 21 inch and without anything there is next to no clearance to bottom of the shelf. For now I have put some lengths of timber on 3 sides which are just thicker than the thickness of the battery cable and that feels like it is the absolute maximum thickness, about 15mm, with the boot floor still fitting.

So does anyone else have a full size, 275/45 21 inch spare and what is under it?

I see on newer versions you can get 21 and 22 inch spares, what is under them, is the cabling different or the well deeper than a 2015 Joined the X5 45e club

If your car is a 2015, unless L/R have superseded the part number I think you may find that part is listed for a 2018 on car.

It’s a 2015, but it fits. The ones listed for mine are for space saver, 19 and 20 inch wheels, so they tell me, it’s a 21 inch wheel I have. Couldn’t be any thicker than that or it will stick up too much Joined the X5 45e club

I would look under the carpet, the main battery cables both run under there, positive to the right, maybe I was just worrying too much? Joined the X5 45e club
