Steering Column Universal Joint

Hi All,

Been away for a while but its a failed MOT that brings be back.

Failed on the title along with;
Steering system excessively rough.

The place who did the MOT doesn't touch RRS,
The garage next door didn't want it,
My cousin has a friend who has a garage, he nipped in with my test sheet,

Chap says, it shouldn't be too much of a job unless when he gets to it, its electrical, then its over £1000 for the steering rack.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

TIA

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

The UJ is a known failure point and is a relatively easy fix. See Disco_Mikey's comments here: https://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic62206...teering+uj , for example. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I’m getting mine replaced under my WD warranty at the end of the month. It’s getting done at JAS in York as well as a few more items under the warranty. Not too sure of the costs if I had to pay but I could ask the question when I drop my car off.
