I have a TDV8 (March 07) with wipers that still judder. Will the new part number be fitted or will they only put these on when you complain.

This drives me nuts as it did with my old TDV6.[/quote]

Chaps, the new wiper design bloody judders on my screen. I bought them from Marshalls on ebay and were the correct design. Silicone baby! 2022 P440e AB

They judder like mad especially in light drizzle and it really p Censored s me off. SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

I may have a fix for the juddering wipers, i note that the glass appears to be pilkington self clean, which made me think that the rubber blade edge finds the smooth coated glass a problem, i removed both blades (in holders) & sprayed both sides with silicone lubricant spray, its rather like wd40 but without the oil, then i wipped them & clipped them back on, not a squeak or judder since. i have washed the car (every weekend) with a hot jet wash at least 10-15 times since and still no noise. I intend to re-coat again soon as i would imagine the detergent will breakdown the silicone in time. I Very Happy also noted that the wipe is streak free every time. give it a try for yourself, its curred mine.

Where do you get this silicone spry? Halfords? if so a name of a product please. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

What are you road conditions like over there? just a thought try spraying the car with tap water and see if they still make a noise as it maybe dirt in the water from the roads causing it.

Mine are silent, but i don't travel on that many main roads hence no spray from other vehicles, its worth a try some of my Previous cars

The rain was one of those annoying fine showers, hardly anything being kicked up off the road, the wipers were on auto. Yesterday we had quite a number of down pours and i must admit they quietened after the 3rd or 4th heavy shower Shocked must have been all that grease on the road being laid down on the screen Wink

Its going in to get a few rattles sorted out (top glove box/head rest, squeaky steering wheel), will see if i can persuade them to change them again, but at their cost this time

Cheers

I always found that this problem only occurred when there was very fine rain. So this time I'm going use RainX on the screen to take care of the drizzel and see how it goes.

But can't see any point in getting grumpy over it.....after all its just another characteristic of the vehicle Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter TDV6 - gone
