If I recall correctly, when I bought my model year 2015, the park assist option was sold in two forms with parallel parking only as the base version. The all bells and whistles park option also came with 360 degree park distance detection. I have the full park version and I see a display showing proximity of obstacles all around the vehicle. The 360 degree surround camera was a separate option. Link to 2015 brochure is below. Could be the same for 2016.

From the brochure back then:
£450 to add Park Assist featuring Parallel Park and Parking Exit A further £450 on top to add: Perpendicular Parking and 360° Park Distance Control Which rather suggests you do in fact have perpendicular parking assist as you have 360. Assuming you have the real 360 and not just front & rear sensors, which I suppose for some owners may feel the same until they try real 360 sensors. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone! |

You reckon this is possible on a 2014? it has the 360 surround cams and park assist with rear traffic detection? If a jobs worth doing, get a someone who knows what they are doing to do it!

Will it be easier to to check you have cameras in the door mirrors.? Our evoque has them & it has 360 view or whatever they call it,to be honest we’ve never used them. Andy.

Yep its got cams in the mirrors 2 on the front lower bumper and one at the rear and what looks like one facing our the front under the rear view mirror, just wondered if fitting one of these would be needed to enable TSR and lane warning

You may find the cam under the rear view mirror is for the lane keeping assist and road sign recognition systems not for the parking. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

If I'm honest they were the 2 things I was most interested in! I live in the centre of town and have a garage for 2 cars Im well versed with parallel parking and reversing into a space is not that hard either but might be handy if you had a stiff next I guess!

The parking is crap anyway. It's slow and it parks between the cars either side - not between the lines on the floor. If they are badly parked, you will be too.

Yeah I thought that too, I can park on the street in a pretty tight gap as long as using the rear view mirror (I normally practice by putting a cone in the garage so I can gauge the distance in the camera so i know when im like 4 inches away!
