Deployable side step problem

Hi, anyone ever had an issue with drivers side side step not retracting when vehicle is stationary and locked? Likely cause and is it potentially a minor problem with a simple fix? Cheers

Happens to me every now and then. I find that disabling the system then turning it back on again solves the issue, either that or manually deploying them occasionally also does the trick. Ferrari F430 Spider F1

Cheers for the reply. Having only just got the car I've no idea how to do either of these things, is it straightforward?

Mine have had a mind of their own from new, I sometimes have to lift suspension to off road full height & clean away leaves to get them to work again, there are supposedly sensors fitted so if you park to close to a high kerb etc they don’t come out & damage themselves, I think leaves, twigs etc that end up under there must give the sensors false readings.

I will just go for fixed ones next, save £2k & a lot of hassle!
