Buy the new switch first. When it arrives, pop the old switch out the tailgate, plug in the new switch and open the tailgate that way Strathearn Engineering

as said kensta you dont need to open the tailgate to fit the new switch look at the new switch it has clips on it just use a screwdriver to pop the old one out |

Hi Marc I got it from dealer (stratstones) m8 and it was around 20 odd quid, there's a couple on eBay the other day but I think they were more towards 30quid, doddle to change over aswel, Good luck Java black 2006 |

usually wires break at the top of the tailgate.
