The first video is very interesting. Seems to me that for most people in the UK, i.e. in Englandshire, the Michelin Cross Climate is the tyre to have if you want to fit one tyre and not mess around with summer / winter swapping. It'll get most people home in most conditions most of the time.

The second video is just a dig at people who have 4 driven wheels and think that's good enough. Of course, if the Kuga had permanent four wheel drive, it would have got further on the summer rubber. But it would still not be able to brake on summer rubber. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

at least it gets people to think about tyres and realise the difference the Right tyre can make
or more to the point the Limitations of a tyre that may not be the best type.

I advised one of our niece's to fit the cross climates a couple of years ago, (Corsa)
as far as she is concerned they are Black and Round and to be fair she probably has no idea if they have been any better for her or not
She is due another set soon and has already said "can I not put some cheaper ones on"
You can its your money but I think there money well spent

We run Cross Climates on SWMBO Octavia. It was my idea because I was commuting so likely wouldn't be close with the RRS if it snowed when she was at work / out and about. They are more expensive than she would have chosen but she went with the idea.

She's just had a new pair fitted to the front axle ready for winter (they were ready for changing which was a nice bit of lucky timing). I'm hoping we get some snow so I an try them out on the hill at the end of the village. If they do get stuck, at least I can walk back to get the RRS to tow it back up the hill...  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Ah yes - spend all the money on the car/drinking/makeup/houses/horses/food/etc* and nothing on the black round bits that are the only thing stopping you from flying off into the scenery at every bend.. I know the syndrome well!

I was impressed by the Grabber AT3's today as I stood the car on its nose to avoid going into the back of a suddenly stopping Transit van on the M40..
