Rear Doors - Unlocking Problems

Hi guys, I have an issue with both rear doors not unlocking from the inside unless the little lock button next to the door handle is pushed.

Here is a summary of the problem:
- both doors lock, unlock and open fine from the outside
- when I drive off, the doors lock and the lock buttons next to the handles trigger
- when I stop, the front doors unlock but not the rear ones (the internal handles do not open the door)
- if the passengers press the lock button next to the internal handle, the handle can then open the door

I assume this isn't a latch problem as the doors lock and unlock fine.

Do you think this is an issue with the pull cable or handle/switch mechanism? Kev

Could it be child locks? Has it only just started this or did you buy it like that? 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Child locks are definitely off. It's always happened since I've bought the car (used).

I suppose I could turn off the drive-away locking as a work around, but it would be good to resolve the root cause. Kev

Drive away does not activate deadlocking.

It could be electrical or weak latch

This was fixed through replacing the latches in the rear doors. Kev
