Very symptomatic of a weak battery. I'd suggest have it tested for output |

I’m having the same problem , maybe 2 or 3 times a week this happens but hot or cold , no real pattern , did you find the problem, battery turns engine over fine on second or 3rd attempt, my car is a 2010 3.6 also , any ideas ? |

Sorry, should have updated this one. It was indeed a dying battery. Once a new one was fitted it spun up far quicker than under the old battery so it was clearly on its way out. Problem solved and no further cut outs on starting. Best deal I could find on the correct battery with a 5 year guarantee was this one from Yuasa at £106 posted:
