Hoping to get some experience & pointers with the following.

Please bear in mind I haven't had any codes read yet and will arrange this.

Driving along the motorway yesterday and got a suspension warning - limit speed to 30mph

I could feel the car lower until it was running on bump stops.

I pulled over to relative safety under a bridge (seperate to the carriageway).

Car was indeed on its bump stops. Switched it off for 10 mins and restarted. It raised but gave the message "Vehicle lifting slowly". I started along the hard shoulder and withing a minute had the same issue with another message "suspension will lift when system is cooled"

Pulled over again under another bridge. The back was up but front had dropped. Left for 15 mins. Decided to drive to the exit and get off the motorway. It was choppy at first but the suspension did raise back up. Drove 28 miles home with no issue.

Car left in normal height. 24 hours later still ok.

Switched on today and put car into off road mode to test. It raised no problem. Only thing I can still hear is a buzzing toward the nearside rear I got under and it seems to come from a black plastic box on the nearside.

Is this the compressorr?

Any ideas if this sounds like a compressor fault or something else?

yeah the compressor is under the rear left door.

I guess there is a leak somewhere.
and the compressor is having to work hard to keep air in.

Almost sounds like 2 faults

Put the car into off road mode and remove the fuses for the air suspension in the engine compartment fuse box. Measure the distance between the centre of the wheel and the bottom of the arch on all four wheels. Leave overnight and re-measure in the morning. If one or more corners have dropped, you have a leak in those respective corners either on the air springs themselves or on the front or rear valve blocks.

If the car has not dropped at all, you are then looking at either the compressor, the air tank, the centre valve block next to the compressor or the airlines between the centre valve block and the front and rear valve blocks.

Do you know if you are still on the original compressor? Kev

Yes, I agree. However, you need to make sure you haven't got any leaks because if you have and you fit a new compressor, it'll be working overtime and you may end up with it failing prematurely. Kev
