Managed to get the inlet manifold off, and the right hand egr, which was stuck shut. Going to take off the left hand side tomorrow and replace both with another inlet manifold. I will also clean out the throttle body and anything I can. Once rebuilt I hope she will be sorted |

That’s a good result, so to speak. At least you have more confidence that after this, you will have the power you should. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Thanks for the support, been feeling a bit gutted to say the least. I have one other question, would it be safer to blank the egr valves? Is it possible on my vehicle? Any advice appreciated |

Need some more help. All my parts arrived and I went about fitting them. Car took a few cranks to start but is now running and idling well. Problem I have is I have smoke coming up from the right hand side of the car near the injector area. I can also hear a chuffing sort of sound. I have taken out the three injectors and replaced the copper seals, but the noise and smoke remains. I can see for looking and feeling where the chuffing is coming from, and the puffs of smoke every few seconds

It sounds like you must have a poor union or split pipe in the fuel injection system. A DTC check with IID tool would give you an indication which cylinder. As it appears localised I think most of the system can be ruled out, it’s just pinning down the bad one. To be honest I think this issue is small by comparison to your manifold. You will sort it (probably after sleeping on it and having a eureka moment). 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
