L320 'Check Brake Pads' Warning.

My car's had this message a while but all pads and discs are fine. Today I found that the wire so the sensor on the n/s/f wheel had popped out of one of the clips and had rubbed on the suspension to the point of exposing the conductor.

Question: does this message have to be cleared via a computer, or will it clear itself when the car is convinced it is no longer a problem, i.e., time / distance driven?

TBH, its tempting to cut the wire and check the pads visually.

Thanks,

Hugh

It will clear itself.

Wires need to be joined to turn fault message off
