Yes - I have - pending the installation of a dual battery later I have run a cable from the +ive terminal of the main battery to the rear of the vehicle and put an anderson plug that fits next to the other sockets. I earthed the plug to the body (not chassis) rather than running a -ive lead all the way back to the battery.

Hi Jim - yes it is fused. I did not run the cable inside the car as it would then have to some back out so i basically ran it down the top of the chassis in between the chassis and body following other cables etc - there are plenty places for cable ties to secure the cable. The Andersen plug sits in the spot in the rear bumper where the other trailer sockets sit.

Sorry no - was quite a few years ago now - but basically out a hole in front of the battery (needs a grommet to prevent cable chaffing) down past the front suspension, then on top of the chassis all the way to the back. As I said there plenty of places to cable tie the cable on the way. I only ran one cable (it needs to be at least 6BS), the positive and earthed the negative side on the body above the spare wheel. Here is Aust corrosion is not such an issue so I just drilled a hole and used a tech screw as the earth but being in the UK with lots of corrosion you will need to think more about where you earth it.
