As a guide I replaced my 2008 TDV8 front diff with a rebuilt (and guaranteed) one through my local Indie in April 2017 - cost £830 Robin

I have been suffering from a whine/drone for months. Starts around 35mph and stays whether accelerating or maintaining constant speed, not very noticeable when decelerating. It dissappears when you go into neutral and sound doesn't change when cornering.

Regarding the rebuild, I've dug out my invoice and the cost of the rebuilt diff was £495 plus VAT. So I guess you can expect less than that if you've already got the bits. Labour to remove and install was £171 plus VAT so I guess that was about 4 hours work?? Robin
