Rolling in neutral and engine off

Hi all,

As the title suggests really. Has anyone found a way to get the gearbox in an L494 into neutral, with the ignition on but not running the engine.

My drive is on a hill, and it’s often useful to roll cars down it a little to make room for someone else, but without needing to start the engine for 10 seconds to ‘drive’ it the 2 meters I need.

Cheers

There is a way to disable the gearbox Park lock pawl, but it is only for breakdowns, not a procedure you could use easily. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Thanks, i thought as much. There seems to be either a pull-release sround the gear shift on some models, or either a combination of pressing pedals and flappy paddles on others.

Cheers though. MY15.5 HSE
