1.) Remote Control ( if available )
2.) I think its called timed climate control in the Entertainment system.

FBH

Take a read here as it's the same setup with an option on the dash (if enabled).
This can also be enable thro' the Car Confg. File (CCF) by someone wit the suitable tool. Be aware that LR dealers may well tell you it cannot be done.

Ive just enabled my 2010my FBH with my Bt iid tool as it had been disabled. When you turn your car on in the cold weather it will automatically come on and you can set it to a time via the menu screen. You ca also buy or set up with a fob. Very easy to enable using the tool, I got the how to off this forum. Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

The FBH is an automatic unit that will come on IF it's cold and the engine needs help in warming up. This is standard.

An option, at build, is to have the ability to preset a warm up time that also activates the internal fan to pre-warm the car interior ( also clearing windows in frozen conditions...). This is the part that LR charge for, tho' it's merely an electronic switch to have it on...
This option is enhanced with a remote operation, and not necessarily together with 'timed' on the same car.

The 'option' can be activated aftermarket using a tool such as the GAPIIBT unit. Many Disco4 owners have this tool and have done this. The GAPII unit is car (VIN) specific for changing car settings, but will read codes of other LR's. A GAPIIBT PRO tool is able to change the settings, and the guys on the Disco4 site have these and can also supply/fit a unit for you.

The timed activation has to be enabled, as does the 'Radio' operation for a remote control. The remote has a plug in receiver device, and aerial & and a small fob to switch on/off. There is also an aftermarket 'ALTOX' branded unit that will fit in the same location as the LR unit, and this enables a full remote facility via a SIM card. An APP on a SMART phone will control the unit, and has many features that some people quite like.
Read here:-

and here for the ALTOX:-
https://altox.ru/en/products/altox-wbus-5-gps/

The Altox unit is available in UK and there are suppliers/Fit on the forum. Use the first link to search.

If you are competent with a spanner and electrics/gadgets, these are easy fit, but the CCF (car configuration file) in the car will need setting appropriately.

Hope that helps...
Suggest you PM one of the forum suppliers, and get a quote. 2011 MY D4 HSE
