With a new battery, you should be seeing a change in volts when switching the loads in and off.

The battery is just a bit down and the car's system is reducing the electrical load - one of the first things is low power mode in the radio, if the battery gets lower the sound of the radio will be muted.

I would expect to see around 14.5 V with the car at tickover and no extras running, but I would use a voltmeter direct on the battery for readings. 2010 RRS, TDV8

As above, with engine running 14v plus is what you should be seeing. Be aware that a faulty Alternator can take a battery with it when it fails.

The voltage in the system will only be up around 14v for a short period soon after start - when the alternator has put power back into the battery from the start the alternator will lower voltage to around 12.5-12.8v if electrical loads are normal - sounds all normal for a battery slightly down - as i said go for a good drive and all should be good. 07MY RRS TDV6
