2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

IIRC the 4.2 and 4.4 are the same engine but 4.2 has it’s cylinders sleeved to increase engine longevity with the supercharger fitted. Pre-launch LR was running 4.4 S/C’s but the engines self destructed too soon. There isn’t much advantage to the 4.4V8 - same dire fuel consumption but slightly slower acceleration, although the 4.4’s are rare and were pulled from the line up very early in the production run as they weren’t selling, for the similar new cost people preferred to spend the little bit extra on the 4.2 S/C 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I have a 2005 petrol 4.4.

Average fuel 19.8 at moment according to computer...a recent longer run sticking to speed limits saw 25/26 mpg average indicated.it's is all

The supercharger on 4.2 SC not a widely reported well point but I don't have to concwen myself re any issues of failure on that.

More significantly I don't have to concern myself with inncovenience ot cost of ARC anti roll bar repairs or replacements.

The insurance is a bit cheaper than 4.2 SC which I accept is the faster vehicle and has more sophisticated anti roll set up. The SC also gets better audio set up.

It is all relative.....I have spent in other areas such as brakes.

4.4 was also only available only as an HSE IIRC, 4.2 was enhanced over the HSE and the 1st Edition had more gear still 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just through confused.com to be honest came out at just under £270 and my daughter works there so there’s another 15% off I do use the compare sites every time
