First thing to do on a turbodiesel is to remove the cats - this will allow the turbo to spool up quicker and give you a bit more low-down power.

On a diesel, yes. A diesel only requires a smoke test for an MOT. A healthy diesel would pass witn or without a cat

My first thoughts would be that you have modified your car so would need to inform the insurance company who clearly would not agree with an illegal modification. if you then proceeded you would invalidate your insurance and be liable for a considerable fine if caught. That could easily happen in an accident where you were totally innocent.

Are you insured if you fit 275/45’s in place of the standard 40 profile?

In most of the examples you use you would be well advised to inform you insurance company or you may not be covered.

Agreed. Any modifications should be declared, regardless of what they are...

As DM says,,cannot see it cannot fail it,,how can we as testers see if a egr has been blanked off,we can fail if the cat or dpf has been cut open unless the customer gives us proof it has been cut open for a reason,,easy solution is to put a heat shield covering said item then we cannot see if its been tampered with. Andy.
