Can anyone tell me if there was a fix for the chain and tensioner issue on the 5.0 SC and when it was introduced? My 2012 is approaching 65,000 miles and I’m wondering if I should get these parts replaced if needed. The engine itself was replaced in 2014 at 20,000 miles under warranty as it was “noisy”. Unfortunately the dealer quoted data protection so wouldn’t tell me exactly what was noisy but did say it was replaced for a new unit which took 2 months to deliver and fit. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

I wasn't aware the Data Protection Act considered cars to be people. Who knew?!

Typical dealer attitude, frankly.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

They said that Data Protection covered this as the work was done in his ownership with his details. I asked if I could have a copy of the work without his details on it but they wouldn’t do it. It’s but I did manage (just) to get a work order number off them which I put in the service history book next to the service stamp for the service when the engine was changed (I had wondered why the receipt for the service was dated 2 months after the actual date it was serviced and the mileage was the same). 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
