Just to update, this weekend I found out that I do get hazard alerts (like pothole or car stoped ahead etc.) and police alerts from Waze through ACP on my Volvo. I also get options on the car’s screen to “thank” for the alert or to say “it’s not there”. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top Gone: MY16 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Carpathian Grey & Santorini Black Sliding Pano/Ebony & Ivory 2 Tone Gone: MY13 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition, Orkney Grey/Ivory Gone: MY09 RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE, Santorini Black/Almond |

Is the software upgrade with ACP actually worth it? Apart from ACP, is there any additional functionality associated with 18d? My dealer wants 200 shekels to upgrade, I was rather hoping to get it as a freebie! Running 18c just now. |

I had the ACP feature added (cost £120) when updating to 18D and I must say that it is significantly better than the ICTP Apps. Much faster, more reliable in terms of initial and ongoing connection and great to have the option to be able to run Waze. The interface is totally intuitive as it is the same as your phone OS and can be used by anyone with an iPhone that is driving the car (i.e. other driver does not need to download LR Apps).

Putting aside ACP, what is the difference between 18c and 18d? |

All very personal I guess but I don't like car play and personally don't use it.

Well the car went in for some warranty work which they took their time about, wife grumbled so got a wheel alignment and ACP gratis. I'm back in the UK next week so looking forward to trying it out. Oh and upgraded to 18d (phase 4) too. |

Yes 18D is good for me too, quite snappy responses to keyboard inputs. Hardly use ACP. No problems so far.f RRS P460e

An ongoing major mystery for me is just why some people have zero issues with ICTP and its updates, and others endless problems.
