United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Firenze Red
Drivers carpet mat

Has anyone changed their drivers carpet mat for a longer mat? It just doesn't feel like the dealer supplied mat provides enough protection for the carpet under the pedals- or could just be my big feet.......
Thinking about buying a bigger mat but concerned whether it would get stuck under the pedals. Be interested to know if anyone has used a larger mat, does it work ok and where your sourced it.
Thanks. 2017my RRS 2.0 SD4 HSE, Firenze red, black and panaroof

I agree, it’s just cheaply done. Its not hard to find the cheap build quality parts and areas in the L494. I use a rubber one now as i sometimes get in with wet feet after boat / jet ski launching. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

I found the OME mats very poor in design and my big feet in RM boots started to mark the carpet. I purchased new rubber mats from UK. I do have the carpet mats but they would be as useless as tits on a bull just like the OME rubber mats. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Thanks IRBalls, I take it they weren't OME rubber mats you bought. They must be longer- were they a particular make or did you just adapt an "off the shelf" mat? Have you had any problems with feet or pedals getting stuck?
Thanks. 2017my RRS 2.0 SD4 HSE, Firenze red, black and panaroof

They are Mats made for the Range Rover Sport and purchase from a UK company that I found via this site. No problems with fit in fact better than the old OME. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

I agree the front mat is awful Evil or Very Mad What I did was to buy a cheep rectangular mat from Tesco which is pretty thin as that's what you want under the pedals, besides your foot does not touch it. It just keeps the dirt off the carpets. Slid it under the OEM mat. Works fine. See pic
