Scuttle Panel Painting.

Hi Lads
I have the usual grotty looking Scuttle panel on the 2006 Sport. Just out off curiosity has anyone removed and painted this panel to improve the look.

If so is it easy enough to remove and would it need any special Prep or Paint to do this.

Cheers Jock. Confused

+1 for Autoglym, it only lasts a few weeks but brings plastics up beautifully. Thumbs Up

I have mentioned this before, use Gtechniq C4 Permanent trim restorer for all plastics. Brings it up as new & lasts for around a year or more Thumbs Up

£55 to replace. Mine looks like new now. Oh hang on. It is new!

I must add that I had tried a number of things including smooth peanut butter, but the panel was scratched to hell and almost white. I was happy to spend £55 getting it looking like new.

Re Scuttle Panel

Hi Lads

Thanks for all the replies ,I had tried a few trim restorers with no luck, but there is a couple mentioned that I haven't ,so will give them a try.

£55 isn't a lot to replace it right enough ,I thought it would have been more expensive. So always the other option. How hard are they to change out.

Cheers Jock. Thumbs Up

When you buy Gtechniq G4, it comes in a tiny bottle, but a little goes a long way. There is enough to cover ALL the black plastic trim on a Range Rover Sport including the sidesteps with some left over. Your plastic will be like new & it lasts. have a look at Gtechniq website for the application video. You will not be disappointed Very Happy I have no tie-up with Gtechniq but I use most of their products including the ceramic coating which was applied by my accredited detailer Thumbs Up

I think you need to remove a "A" post trims as well if I remember right, I replaced mine, as for £50.00 thought it was a easier and better job than trying to restore the colour.

Cheers
Col
