I'm thinking of going back to orange side repeaters, but can I fit LEDs instead of halogen jobbies purely for longevity and light output.

Yes I believe so. They are on the same circuit as the rear indicators

Personally I wouldn't bother. Can sometimes be a hassle getting one of small enough size to fit the indicator unit.

I fitted LED bulbs to the side indicators. They work with no problems and I had no problems fitting them.

Do you mean you`re putting orange lenses on and you want normal clear, orange flashing bulbs? Steve.

I currently have clears with orange bulbs, but thinking of going to orange lenses with non coloured bulbs. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

The general rule of fitting LED bulbs is use red LED bulbs for red lensed lamps, orange LED bulbs for orange lensed lamps and white LED bulbs for clear leansed lamps (reverse). If you use white LED bulbs in either red lensed lamps or orange lensed lamps the emitted light has a very washed out look.

Right, with you now Yes you could do that but as said above.....may look washed out. I got my orange flashing clear ones off ebay  Steve.
