EX-X5 - there is a difference in pushing your vehicle to test the extremes and doing what you know the vehicle can do. Very few owners of a £45k car would risked serious damage, but that doesn't mean they are not doing proper offroading. There is a certain pleasure giving 2 fingers to people who knock RRS owners for not using them offroad. I've been to events where little Suzukis run around at great speed and get damaged - fun yes but also dangerous. I would like to be known as a driver who knows his cars capabilities and will push it but not cross the line. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

What's wrong with taking your RRS offroad, it was designed to be taken there from day one. Mine has and so did my FFRR TD6 before it and the Freelander before that. I also have a Defender that I don't mind bashing a bit, that was why I bought it in the first place. You don't have to take your RRS into stupid places and risk it, there are plenty of offroad sites that have beginners routes if you "just want to see what she'll do" in the dirt. Smarticus and myself took a group of D3 owners on an offroading weekend in the North East in June, they had a great time, did some quite amazing things in their cars (one of which was only a couple of weeks old!) that they thought they would never ever do and nobody did any damage except me when I reversed rather rapidly into a dry stane dyke and bent the rear nearside quarter of my Defender.................. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
