BG44 is L/R approved for their AJV8 and AJ133 petrol engines so would think the BG244 would be o.k. in the diesel engine but really wouldn't know for sure or if it is L/R approved or recommended.

Cheers

Yep used it before on my old S60. Made it pick up better and from memory the fuel consumption was better, but not used it on the RRS. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

I have never used the BG products, but one I have used that worked for me, was Wynn's extreme clean, ignore the price you can generally get it for £12.
I had issues with black smoke and loss of power. May not work for everyone, but it cured my problem

Used the Wynns product as well. Added the bottle to approx 50l of fuel and whilst using this and emptying the tank, there was some smoke and diesel knock. The car felt worse.
However, after the next fill up, the car was a different beast. Quiet, smooth and what felt like more power.
Will use again, probably run a dose through every six months
