Well my rob acticulator was destroyed. So that plus + rear parking brake shoes and labour has set me back £1500. Could have done with out that right now. ===========================================

What was destroyed? I’m sure you used to be able to get a kit of internals to rebuild the actuator rather than replace it. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

You're right Brit. Usually, the gears strip inside the parking brake module. You can purchase a kit to repair this.

My indie replaced my parking brake earlier this month he has them reconditioned cost was £150 + VAT. Asked me if I wanted the one he took off returned to me after being repaired , picking it up next time I'm in the area could be a while with the present situation. |

That's a good price, I had mine replaced under warranty and with labour and VAT the job was £900. I'm not sure you'd want to take it off the car on your drive, looks a PITA. |
