Thumping sound when turning

Ok I'm getting a thumping sound almost like a flat tyre when turning more so to the left i checked tyre pressure and all good then I check tread and there is 1mm difference would this cause the noise also the car pulls to the left quite a bit so need realigning! Is it the tracking, tyres or bearing please not the diff 🙈

Very hard to tell as the cause could be many things. I had what sounded like the same sort of issue as you did recently, noticeable low rumbling when a little left hand turn on, at 30mph up. Almost sounded like a washing machine drum spinning down (so thump and rumble). Turned out to be a bearing and these cars are well known for eating bearings, probably a combination of vehicle weight, driver style and LR skimping on spec. Changed bearing and noise gone. Saw the old one and it was completely shot.

Take it to an indy as I did mine, we did a 15 min test drive and put it on the ramp and job done.

Most likely a wheel bearing

Potentially a worn suspension arm, or ball joint someplace. A decent garage should be able to find the issue within a few minutes of road test/investigation Thumbs Up

After having the control arm bushes replaced on mine, and a 4 wheel alignment, a new noise manifested itself when turning. A distinct clunk when turning slowly only when moving, when stationary the noise would never appear.

I greased the lock stops and that did nothing, then liberally applied some WD40 to the lower steering UJ and it's been silent ever since. Worth a try i'd say Smile
