About to be owner

A couple of questions, I keep hearing how much smaller the interior is in the RRS compared to the RR. I'm trading in my 05 RR HSE for a 06 RRS SC in December. Is the cabin really that tight inside the RRS?... and how is gas consumption comparable to the Full size RR?

Thanks.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Lupo, I came to the Sport from a 2003 Range Rover TD6. The Sport is smaller but it isn't noticable from an interior space/comfort point view unless you are very "broad of beam" The front section of the transmission tunnel is a lot higher than in RR but it only serves to make the car feel snugger inside. You will notice the firmer suspension settings however - you feel road surface imperfections in the Sport that you just hear as tyre noice in the big RR but the pay-off is next to no roll in corners. The biggest difference between Sport and RR is in the boot/trunk where there are no stowage cubbies like you have in the back of the Range Rover. You will love the Sport - it IS very much more car like to drive. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I too have been in and out of Range Rovers for many years, the Sport is different in so many ways but so similar at the same time. It is fantastic to see what LR have achieved with the Sport. I prefer the interior style/setup in the SPORT but would like the option to have some of the materials used in its bigger brother.

You will just love the SUPERCHARGED........... in fact I think I'll stop rambling on and pop out now for a spin on such a great Autumnal Sunday

MDP, fully agree on the materials front - and up here we have had a superb autumn day spoiled only by the grockles driving at 35mpg to admire the Highland scenary!
You guys with S/C RRS's should bring them up here sometime and take the following run Stirling- Callander - Crianlarich - Tyndrum - Ballahullish turn round and come back through Glen Coe and turn off to Loch Etive opposite the King's House Hotel and take a side run through Glen Etive with stunning scenary to the end of the single track road (about 22 miles!). Turn back and rejoin the main road headed toward Glasgow, at Crianlarrich turn right and take the road down the west side of Loch Lomond to Balloch and return to Stirling! As they say - a Grand day Out and your S/C would get plenty of chances to stretch it's legs without fear of speed cameras or police patrols! Midweek at this time of year would be the time to do it too. I can do it on less than half a tank but you would probably have to stop and refuel a couple of times - and fuel up here is still over £1 a litre in many places, but it would be worth it. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim I would love to be able to nip up this week and tour the highlands but work dictates unfortunately Sad

Have done some of those roads in the past & regularly pop up to Dundee to visit my wifes cousin, but must admit out of sheer lazyness have taken the plane from East Mids to Edinburgh ( get picked up ) - its just so damn quick & cheap Shocked
