Could be a faulty clock spring but it’s worth trying a new steering wheel loom first, much cheaper and very easy to do.

When you say the airbag light is on, do you mean on the instrument display or on the centre console above the stereo?

Loads of problems with the small loom behind the air bag for the buttons try this first as you can pick up the loom cheaply that is what it was on mine:thumbsup: |

And mine, my radio controls were still doing weird things even after changing the radio. New loom cured it. |
