interior upgrade

i have a 2007 rrs. the interior has been changed to the newer model using the seats, door panels, steering wheel and stalks.

few problems im having is the intermittent wipers dont work. i found if i unplug the rain sensor they start working but then the auto lights dont work. plug it back in the light sensor works but the intermittent wipers stop

other is the heated seats dont work. i think there seems to be a wiring difference.

any help on these issues would be greatly appreciated

I'm not sure this will help. Min has auto wipers and i find it the most annoying irritating and off Censored feature
to ever have been installed on a car. There is a switch which I use to set the speed of the wipers that suits me.
But the auto wipers obviosly know much better than I do as to how I need the windscreen cleaning.
It is especially annoying when relatively dry but damp salted roads. The wipers will wipe but not enough
moisture on the road so smear the windscreen.
Are you sure they don't work, do you mean the wipers won't wipe at all when you switch them on?

yes i know what you mean. im not fussed about the auto wipers working off the rain sensor but more just having the intermittent feature with the speed setting working.

just now i have push it down to clear the window. its abit annoying having to do this constantly when its light rain and not heavy enough to leave them on the constant setting

You can disable the auto wipers feature using an IID or similar. Just change the CCF so it shows no auto wipers and then the intermittent switch works as you would expect. That's what I did on my TDV8. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

the light sensor and rain sensor are in the same unit

You don't have intermittant when the rain sensor is working, as the rain sensor does it for you

I agree...pointless feature. Either it goes full pelt when it`s barely drizzling or hardly works when it`s bouncing down. Steve.
